IMEC is a two-year international Master Programme (120 ECTS) in Early Childhood Education and Care.
International Master in Early Childhood Education and Care
IMEC is a Master Programme under the European Union's Erasmus Mundus Programme.
IMEC is offered in cooperation between Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (Norway), University of Malta (Malta), Dublin Institute of Technology (Ireland) and University of Gothenburg (Sweden). All students will follow a given structure – first semester in Oslo, second in Dublin and third in Malta. The fourth semester the students write their master thesis at any of the four partner institutions.
Erasmus Mundus
The overall aim is to promote European higher education, to help improve and enhance the career prospects of students and to promote intercultural understanding through cooperation with third countries, in accordance with EU external policy objectives in order to contribute to the sustainable development of third countries in the field of higher education.
Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education for
- the enhancement of quality in European higher education
- the promotion of the European Union as a centre of excellence in learning around the world
- the promotion of intercultural understanding through cooperation with third countries
- the development of third countries in the field of higher education.
The Commission shall ensure that no group of EU citizens or third-country nationals is excluded or disadvantaged.
