National center of housing market research
OsloMet, Eiendomsverdi and Samfunnsøkonomisk analyse is a three-party collaboration enterprise and has established National center of housing market research. The center receives financial support from the Norwegian Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation.
The center aims to conduct research of top international quality. The topics focus attention on the housing market’s demand and supply sides, and the research encompasses both micro and macroeconomic studies in addition to financial aspects of the housing market.
The center seeks to stimulate interest in and knowledge about housing economics through research, communication, and work-shops. It also seeks to become a meeting place for parties with an interest in the housing market, and the center will arrange trade meets.
The center is directed by Eiendomsverdi’s Head of Research, prof. Erling Røed Larsen, and affiliated researchers include prof. Dag Einar Sommervoll, chief economist Andreas Benedictow and prof. Ragnar Nymoen. The center will engage participants from all levels of experience, from Master’s degree students and doctorate students to postdocs and visiting scholars.
The center becomes part of OsloMet’s Center for welfare and labor research, and its launch is a result of OsloMet’s ambitions as a leading metropolitan research university.
Data are delivered by Eiendomsverdi and Samfunnsøkonomisk analyse. Eiendom Norge is a supporting organization.
