Universal Design of ICT

Our digitalised society can create new barriers.

Have you thought about how people with visual impairment or dyslexia can access your website? Have you thought about how to design digitalized services (e.g. Internet banking system) so that elderly people can use them easily?

This course (5 ECTS) is directed to students, ICT system designers, developers and others who are interested in universally accessible ICT solutions. The course will provide both theoretical principles of universal design and hand-on experience on how to design and evaluate ICT systems using these principles.

The course will take a project-based learning approach. Course participants will work in groups on a project and this project will be evaluated in the end of the course based on group presentation and final report.
