Experience Oslo and Norway
Although Oslo is a rather small capital with approximately 600,000 inhabitants, the city can boast of activities for almost everyone.
Oslo is surrounded by magnificent scenery from the fjord to "Marka", the forest surrounding the city. The excellent public transport system will take you to the small islands for a swim, as well as to the many paths for hiking and cycling in "Marka".
There is wide range of cinemas, theatres, art galleries, museums, international restaurants and cafès. For those who enjoy the night scene, Oslo has a busy nightlife, including one of the best live music scenes in Northern Europe.
During the last decades Norway has drawn the attention of the rest of the world through its innovative ideas and technologies, its booming oil and gas industry and active participation in areas like environmental protection and peace brokerage.
The 'Land of the Midnight Sun' has delightfully long summer days and the temperature can vary from plus 15 up to plus 30 degrees Celcius.
