We at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Science are aiming to improve your user experience of our research and development content.
- To prioritise what is most important to our readers, we need more insight directly from the source, meaning, we need your help, says prorector for research and development, Morten Irgens.
The survey takes less than five minutes to complete, and you can choose to join the draw of a VISA gift card that can be used anywhere in the world, on- or offline.

A different approach

The survey is based on the classic usability exercise card sorting, but with a twist.

The methodology is called Top task survey (read full article on, and have been used over a decade at academic institutions, universities and large complex organisations like Microsoft and Cisco.

Each participant chooses and prioritises five themes from a defined list. The twist is that the list is randomised for every new participant. You are asked to trust your gut feeling. This leads to complaints in the comment section every time this type of survey is held.

However, over the years, this method has proven to be effective and gives a clearer picture of what our readers thinks is most important. It is a useful way to get prioritised data on who our users are and what they are trying to do.

We look forward to your participation!
