Consequences of densification on public health

The Norwegian Directorate of Health has requested a report that looks at the consequences of densification on public health. This will illuminate how densification affect environmental and social conditions for public health. Norwegian and international urban development is currently shaped by the ideal of the compact city, which it believes is best suited to realizing ecological, economic and social sustainability. Yet little is known about the overall impact of these transformations on public health.
